Dreaming Of Becoming A Wedding Planner?
Chalet View Lodge is a one-of-a-kind boutique resort created exclusively for destination weddings. We host over 50 weddings each year and are a premier wedding venue. We have an in-house full service wedding planning department that works with our couples from conception to execution. We are looking to hire an Assistant Wedding Planner to assist our planners and management team!
Job Responsibilities Include:
Execution
- Set up new client files upon booking
- Manage client timeline, checklist and budget, and all pre-planning duties for client in the months leading up to the event
- Create and manage event timelines, and coordinate with clients and vendors
- Be comfortable working with both social events as well as corporate events
- Balance shifting priorities with various deadlines
- Provide leadership and interface with other hotel departments: maintenance, housekeeping, guest services, etc.
- Comfortable working at a computer for extended periods of time
- Comfortable walking and standing for extended period of time on event days
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs unassisted
Sales and Wedding Consultations
- Take part in wedding consultations and put together planning proposals, send contracts for signature, as well as foster relationships with potential couples
Event Design
- Create and manage meeting schedules while coordinating multiple calendars
- Create inspiration boards for each event and keep updated as the event design develops
- Assist client in sourcing materials needed to execute design vision
- Stay up to date on current trends and event design ideas
- Manage event design execution on event days
Required Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Creative problem solving and works well under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
- Proficient with Mac platform, Excel, Google Docs
- Be extremely organized, reliable and prompt
- Able to prioritize tasks with overlapping deadlines
- Friendly, personable and works well in a collaborative team environment
- Able to work with cross functional vendor teams and manage these relationships
*Experience in Event Planning and Bachelor’s Degree preferred
