Full Job Description
Job Summary: The front desk staff are often the first face to resort guests. As such, their job is to be welcoming, efficient and informative. The job requires the ability to handle a wide variety of situations calmly and professionally. Strong computer skills are required. At a minimum, solid proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to master new software quickly. Prior use of resort-wide software is a bonus. Candidates must have an above average ability to read, write and use proper grammar and spelling to compose messages/correspondence as required. Front desk staff handle all guest registration tasks, offer information and advice regarding resort amenities, area features and activities, and provide an exceptional level of service to guests.

Ability to work independently and handle a variety of tasks at once. Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to deal effectively with diverse groups of individuals. Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Understand and respond to a diverse population. Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities.
Organizational skills: Ability to handle multiple projects, priorities and workflow.
Technical requirements: Knowledge of hospitality. Attention to detail is critical. Ability to collect complex information and assist with interpretation and decision-making. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, primarily Word and Excel, ability to learn and use an enterprise-level resort software system, ease with using cloud-based communication and storage applications.
